Do I need a doctor’s referral?
You do not need any referrals to book a session! You can book in private sessions (non-Medicare rebate sessions) anytime; or get a "Mental Health Care Plan" from your GP to book in Medicare-rebate sessions with us.
Do you Bulk Bill?
Sorry, we do not Bulk Bill. But please do not hesitate to talk to us if your financial circumstances change - we do not want this to be the barrier to your better well-being!
how do i start the process?
Send us a message through “Contact Us” page to help us understand your distress or concerns. We will give you a 15-minute free initial consultation by phone. If there is a mutual agreement that HealingLand Therapy is suitable to meet your needs, we will book your first appointment.
how does the first session look like?
The first appointment serves as an "Intake Session". We build up basic understanding by gathering background information, discuss initial assessment and wishes, co-create a therapeutic goal to work together towards, in a personalized way. Usually in the first session, we also plan for the number of sessions needed.
How does a counselling process end?
In HealingLand, counselling is a collaborative process. During the process, we have ongoing review of the goals, the progress, and your experience. We fine-tune our way to best meet your needs and foster desirable changes. When situations improve and/or goals are attained, we will do a "closing session" to consolidate your learning and fuel continuous positive changes. If you wish to end the process early, please do talk to your counsellor so we could conduct the closing session with you - researches find that premature dropout sets back positive changes.
